We would like to thank Blizzard for another fun and well-designed… wait, who are we kidding?
While it was an interesting fight to learn, (imho) it once again put too much emphasis on the gear check component.
Even after all this time in Naxxramas, we might have failed in that department, therefore we owe a big “thank you” to Forlorn Hope for helping out by lending us additional [item]frozen rune[/item]s.

Frostwyrm Lair didn’t warm up after removing the big freezer, instead we were treated to a manager getting scolded by his boss:

Farming ftw?

It has been a while since we were kindly invited to a riding vacation (and admittedly we’ve struggled with learning to deal with the stubborn beasts, an steep class and equipment requirement and last but certainly not least capricious addons which were supposed to make the whole affair easier).

There may have been a possiblilty of attempting a more direct approach,

but in the end, we learned a strategy that would cause less hunter grief.

Congratulations have to go to Zhaan for [item]robe of faith[/item], Protector for [item]dreadnaught breastplate[/item] and Mahanaxar for [item]warmth of forgiveness[/item].

Since we had focused on this encounter for most of the raidweek, we had to put in a bit of overtime to be treated to a taste of the Sapphiron fight. After finishing off the spider wing, the door to Frostwyrm Lair opened up with a appropriately cold reception.
The fight itself might take us a few more attempts :)

Disclaimer: Alvie Stables do exist in the Scottish Cairngorm region, and they treat their horses better than we did the horsemen, making the rides considerably more relaxing. Hope they don’t mind us borrowing their flyer :)
